Why we like it

Screen recordings help participants analyze themselves, allow groups to watch, analyze, and discuss interactions, and allow facilitators to review interactions later when multiple breakout rooms occur.

Process

1. Run any activity that involves spoken participation such as speeches, role plays, and demonstrations.
2. During the activity, assign someone to capture a screen recording.
3. Share the recording as necessary (sent to the participant, reviewed in the group, watched in the main room, etc.).
4. Save files for later use.

Tech tips

a) Many platforms allow session recording. Ensure permissions allow participants to record if needed. Consider any ethical or procedural steps are taken.
b) Many computer programs have screen recording such as OBS Studio, Adobe Captivate, and Apowersoft’s free online recorder.
