Description

Participants share an object near them or brought to the session.

Why we like it

A show-and-tell activity that shows off individuals’ personalities. Items can be planned in advance or sourced on the spot. Encourages participants to prepare for and use video.

Process

1. If preferred, give participants advance notice to bring a personal item to the session.
2. Ask participants to show their item on video and what it means to them. Items could be directly related to the program topic, or simply a personal possession.
3. If time permits, allow questions or chats from others.

Variations

If no video is available, use file share or screen share options for photos.
