Description

Participants and groups who know each other introduce others, interesting information about others, and how they’ve worked together in the past.

Why we like it

This alternative to personal live introductions builds on existing rapport and relationships.

Process

1. Facilitator gives parameters for what types of information should be shared in introductions.
2. Similar to the Interview activity resource, participants share information about each other.
3. Participants or groups can follow with additional information questions.

Daisy chain options

a) In communication or presentation programs, participants’ presentation could serve as the benchmark presentation. Consider giving other evaluation criteria in advance with this option. Consider recording the live presentations.
b) Allow interviewees to add information and clarify any information.
c) Allow live participants to ask follow up questions or find similarities among other participants (ex. “Who else works in accounting?”).

Variations

Reports could be conducted during the live session in breakout rooms.
