Please discuss with your partners:

  • Why did you choose your self-evaluation score number (1-10)?

  • What are the most common situations where you need to present?

  • What questions/challenges do you have about presenting?


Breakout 2

You each have 1-3 minutes to present.

  • Please remind your partner to record themself.

  • If you partner goes over 3 minutes, please kindly let them know to stop :)

    • After your partner has finished please provide feedback:

    • How was their virtual presence (body language and voice)?

    • What did you like about you partner's message?

    • What are 2-3 things you could add or subtract to make the message more engaging/impactful?


Breakout 3

Analysis

  • Your goal: What do you want your audience to do with the information you give them? NOT just “understand.”

  • Zoom in/Zoom out: What do they already know about your topic?

  • Buy-in: Why will they care about your topic/challenge? What challenges are they facing that you solve?

  • Current view: What do they think about your topic/challenge? What solution/lack thereof do they see?

  • Broken status quo: What is the cost of doing nothing/inaction?

  • Objections/curiosities: What questions will they want answered?

Please share your 5 Minute Audience Analysis with your partner.

  • Provide feedback to your partner:

  • Did they answer all the questions fully?

  • Does it seem they have really taken the audience's perspectives/needs into consideration?

  • What else could they add?

  • What other concerns/questions/challenges might the audience have?


Breakout 4

You each have 1-3 minutes to present your triangle.

  • Please remind your partner to record themself.

  • If your partner goes over 3 minutes or goes beyond the end of the triangle framework, please kindly let them know to stop :)

  • After your partner has finished please provide feedback:

    • How well did they follow the triangle framework? (skipped a section/went on too long)

    • How audience-focused/engaging was it?

    • Were they telling or showing?

    • What are 2-3 things you could add or subtract to make the message more engaging/impactful?

  • Did they skip any steps?
