Cat Street Market
First, decide if you are the Buyer (first name closest to A) or the Seller (first name closest to Z). Then click your role button below to read your private information for 5 minutes. Only read your information!
Second, set up Breakout Buddy to record your conversation. Buyer, set up the 4-digit code and share it with the Seller. You will each start recording when you’re ready to negotiate.
Third, negotiate for 7 minutes. If you don’t finish, that’s ok. Try to reach a deal. Take notes of your offers and who made them.
Finally, the Seller will enter some basic data in this survey.
If you have extra time, reflect on these discussion questions:
What worked well in your negotiation — and what would you do differently if you ran it again?
Where did you feel the most pressure? What did you do with it — and did that help or hurt you?
How does this mirror the negotiations you navigate at work? Where do you give ground too quickly — and why?
Who do you negotiate with most — internal stakeholders, external partners, or clients? How does your approach shift depending on who's across the table?
